Mick Shoemaker, Jr., Conservative for America First
We the people
It is no accident that the framers of the Constitution of the United States of America began with these words…We the People of the United States. At the time, the concept of self-rule seemed radical. However, this simple concept is the foundation upon which the greatest country that the world has ever known is built and stands.
The concept of We the People was reinforced with the election of President Trump. The American people went to the polls and said, “we, the American citizens, come first.” This reaffirmation gives us hope that America can continue to be a beacon of light for the world.
I am running for U.S Congress because American ideals must be protected and advanced in the face of growing attacks from leftists Democrats and leftist media that is increasingly hostile toward We the People. These attacks are attacks on the very heart of the Constitution.
With the Constitution as the foundation, religious liberty is the cornerstone. Increasingly, attempts are made to restrict the right to verbalize Christian beliefs. People of faith are asked to choose between conviction and commerce. As societal norms change, the right to voice opinions on these changes often result in unfair “phobic” and “ist” labels.
My campaign for U.S. Congress flows directly from my belief in biblical truth and the Constitution on which our country was founded.
The right to life is paramount.
The right to citizenship is bonding.
The right to express one’s beliefs is guaranteed.
The right to economic prosperity is available.
And, the right to live safely in our communities is promised.
We the People must unite and fight for the future of our country. Because if not us, then who? If not now, then when?
I’d appreciate your vote on May 8.
